In the largest underground mine in Russia, "October", is located in Norilsk, at a depth of 800 meters, an exhibition of photojournalism "Northern History."

The exposition was placed on the so-called "station" where the miners are expected to special vehicles for the further descent to jobs or to rise to the surface.

For the exhibition chose the underground workings of the mine. Mine management has met the organizers of the project, to house exhibitions and carried out the necessary utilities and lighting.

The exhibition is a series of photo-essay devoted to the daily life of the North. Authors – professional photographers from Norilsk and Moscow Alexey Arlyuk, Vadim Kirpichenko, Denis Kozhevnikov, Yaroslav Loginov, Vladimir Makushkin, Yevgeny Ponomarev, Pavel Smertin, Alexander Kharitonov, Eugene Schemilin.
