Museum of Underwater Archaeology in Bodrum most visited Krivoy Rog!

Museum of Underwater Archaeology in Bodrum, only underwater museum in Europe, became the most popular.

For the first 10 months of 2011, the museum was visited by about 300,000 tourists who spent nearly two million Turkish liras. Every year the museum boats sail about 30 000 tourists.

The museum, which is located in a medieval castle in Bodrum, put about a thousand ancient arts, wrecks and artifacts, including the treasures belonging to Queen Nefertiti of Egypt. Currently, the museum consists of 13 exhibition halls. Most visited museum was the room – room Caria Adeego where private belongings princess, whose tomb was discovered during excavations of the ancient city wall Borum. Among the things princess – a golden crown and jewels stacked in crystal caskets.

Summer tourists flock to the museum from around the world. In winter visitors mainly come from the Greek islands of Kos, Leros, Kalymnos, Patmos and Rhodes.
